Horizon Zero Dawn PC Patches to Slow as Forbidden West Development Becomes Focus

Horizon Cipher Dawn developers Guerrilla have confirmed that updates for the game's PC version will start to slow down so the studio can piece of work on the sequel, Horizon Forbidden West.

The declaration came every bit part of Guerrilla's patch notes for Horizon Zero Dawn's virtually recent PC update. The update "introduces crash fixes and operation improvements" as well every bit a few other changes. Within the notes, Guerilla added the following statement regarding future updates:

"As our team continues evolution on our upcoming title Horizon Forbidden Westward, we are shifting to less frequent updates for Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC after this patch," adding "Please note that we volition continue to monitor our customs spaces equally always!"

The game has received a multitude of patches since its launch on PC terminal year, to help deal with crashes, prepare diverse bugs and stabilise performance issues. It looks like these will beginning to wind downwards now, in favour of supporting the upcoming Horizon Forbidden Due west, though Guerilla will still support the game should the customs report annihilation egregious.

Horizon Forbidden Due west was commencement revealed during Sony'southward Future of Gaming PS5 reveal effect. The game is scheduled for release in 2022 and will receive both PS4 and PS5 versions. Forbidden West is a direct sequel to 2022's Horizon Nil Dawn and will see Aloy travel across a range of new environments and come up up against some terrifying new adversaries.

Horizon Zilch Dawn's PC Version scored an 8.five/ten in our official review. Of the game, nosotros said: "Horizon Zero Dawnon PC is a fantastic experience. Horizon Zero Dawn is out now for PC and PS4 and is playable on the PS5 through PS Now and backwards compatibility.
